The principle called me and said she was repeating what he was doing. He was stomping his feet and clapping his hands and making noises. The head teacher noticed, and told the principle. He attends Brooklyn Blue Feather on Court Street. Just to let everyone know, it's good to visit the school without them knowing. On spot checks of your child is a great way to see how he and the teachers are doing with your child. Guest guest
Glad she was fired. She obviously has major problems!!! People like that should not be working with childeren. She sounds like a child herself. I am so glad she's not there anymore! I think your right that parents should check on there children and meet often with the teacher's, it's a great idea. Guest guest
I was glad to hear that the school fired her. So many times I hear of an administration covering up this kind of thing. Guest guest
It is totally abusive behavior. I shudder to think of how many other kids this person made fun of (i.e., RIDICULED!). I remember teachers doing this when I was a kid. They were *trying* to make us change our behavior. It was awful then, but to do it to a kid who cant change their behavior (at least on their own) is just cruel! Guest guest
Cymbalta Approved for Fibromyalgia June 16 (HealthDay News) -- Eli Lilly said Monday that its antidepressant Cymbalta (duloxetine) has been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to treat fibromyalgia, a chronic disorder with symptoms including widespread muscle pain and tenderness. The condition affects about 2 percent of the American population, or about 5 million people, mostly women. While its cause is unknown and there is no known cure, it's believed it may be related to a combination of changes in brain and spinal cord chemistry, genetic factors, and stress, the company said in a statement. Cymbalta affects production of two naturally occurring brain substances, serotonin and norepinephrine. In addition to affecting mood, it's believed these substances are part of the body's natural pain-surpressing system, Lilly said. In a pair of three-month trials involving 874 people with fibromyalgia, Cymbalta significantly reduced pain levels, compared with a non-medicinal placebo, the company said. Common adverse reactions included nausea, dry mouth, constipation, decreased appetite, and sleepiness. Cymbalta also is approved to treat major depressive disorder and generalized anxiety disorder, and a form of nerve pain in diabetics, all in adults 18 and older. Found this Article any comments? Guest guest
HEY JUSTINA!! HAVE YOU TRIED BACLOFEN? IF YOU ARE HAVING MUSCLE SPASMS, IT IS A GREAT DRUG TO HELP. SOME FOLKS HAVE HAD SIDE EFFECTS, BUT FOR ME, IT HAS BEEN LITTERALLY A GOD-SEND. SOME OTHERS MEDS ARE SEIZURE MEDS....LIKE TRAZADONE, AND SOME OTHERS THAT I CAN'T THINK OF NOW...BUT I AM SURE THAT YOUR PM DR WOULD KNOW. SOME OTHERS ARE...FOR DEPERSSION..THEY CAN ALSO HELP RSD OR NERVE PAIN. SOME OTHER PAIN PATIENTS SWEAR BY LYRICA...I HAD MAJOR PROBLEMS WITH THIS MED, BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN THAT YOU WILL ALSO. I WISH YOU ALL THE LUCK IN FINDING A MED THAT WILL HELP ALLEVIATE YOUR PAIN. GENTLE HUGS, KATHY G. **************Gas prices getting you down? Search AOL Autos for fuel-efficient used cars. Guest guest
Hi a - for my RSD, I am on Lyrica for the nerve pain, and subutex for the pain. I am also on lexapro anti-depressant and provigal to wake me up in the morning. I react pretty strongly to medications. I have tried Cymbalta, my doctor thinks its great but it made me really ill. I've also been on dilaudid and demerol in the past, which both worked well. Another one is desipramine, that worked great, but I was able to cut it back after I had the implant. Its an old anti-depressant but does work for pain management. I also have to wear Lidoderm patches on my leg where the RSD is the worst, that helps because it stops my clothes rubbing my skin. Hope this helps you a -- In Stimulator , a Goucher <teenysjms@...> wrote: > > Mike, What are some of the meds that the group are on for pain. I know by the comments they are on methodone, morphine, and vicadone. My pain on a daily level is constantly getting worse and I am maxxed out on what out the PM guy will give. I was going to give him some other options. > a > > > From: mike2boys <mike2boys@...> > Subject: read this > Stimulator > Date: Wednesday, June 25, 2008, 7:47 AM > > > > > > > > > > > > Cymbalta Approved for Fibromyalgia > > > > June 16 (HealthDay News) -- Eli Lilly said Monday that its > > antidepressant Cymbalta (duloxetine) has been approved by the U.S. > > Food and Drug Administration to treat fibromyalgia, a chronic disorder > > with symptoms including widespread muscle pain and tenderness. > > > > The condition affects about 2 percent of the American population, or > > about 5 million people, mostly women. I HAVE HAD RSD NOW FOR 25 YEARS, AND HAVE NEVER TRIED THOSE MEDS YET....MAYBE THEY WOULD HELP WITH THE PAIN! THIS IS WHY I LOVE THIS GROUP THAT MIKE MADE. IT IS SO HELPFUL THAT OTHER PEOPLE CAN TELL THEIR STORIES TO ONE PERSON, ANOTHER PERSON CAN READ IT AND HOPEFULLY BE HELPED TOO! I ALSO TAKE DILAUDID AS WELL AS METHADONE FOR PAIN. Guest guest
Hi Kathy! Hope your feeling ok today. For the medications, the Provigil is more to keep me awake. It doesn't help with the pain, but it helps me be able to focus at work during the day, and I think its a bit of an anti-depressant. Desipramine is not an 'official' pain medication, its an anti-depressant that's not used much any more, but my pain dr uses it for pain, it does work. I have a great dr, he will use whatever he thinks is going to work. The only thing you have to watch for is when you first take it, it can give you bad headaches, but they do go away after a week or so. Its worth sticking with! The only reason I stopped taking it is because after I had my stimulator put in last year, I really wanted to try and reduce the amount of medication I was on. Subutex is a pain medication, and is also used for narcotic withdrawal. My dr wanted me on this one long term as opposed to being on dilaudid all the time, i guess he thought it was better for me. Its pretty strong, it took me a while to figure out the best way to take it as it made me sick initially but after I got over that, I am fine now. Have you tried Opana? Its a newer one, and is meant to be good as well. It made me sick also (like they all do....), so I couldn't stick with it, but its meant to be very good, like Cymbalta. Hope this helps...what area do you live in? I am in the bay area, CA Take care a > > HI, KRISTINA! > > MY NAME IS KATHY.
