Hi All,

Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year! Well, I finally (6 weeks)

got the second opinion letter (Friday)that workers comp required, which

agreed with my Doc. Now, everything is moving very quickly. Yesterday

I had my preop, fitted for a back brace and today I have a stress EKG.

Monday I go for the blood draw and chest x-ray. Then wait, and wait....

Surgery is January 5, 2009 from L-2 to S-1. Does anyone have any words

of wisdom, advice? Has anyone gone from the hospital to an assited

care facility before going home? I'm pretty scared right now, I guess

it's the unknown and waking up to a huge amount of pain. I am just

hoping for some pain relief since I have been living with the pain

since 1990.

Thanks for the help

Tom
