Kim,

I had the same problem at first.....i cant use the belt....i sit down and

move the device around..,..as soon as I have the maximum bars,,,,I sid on it

and stay there till it is charged. I use my stim about 20 hours a

day......I only need to recharge about 1 time a month. It sometime takes

several times of hitting the green start button. Also, try charging without

the stim on.

so I got my charger out and tried to get it to work. I cannot get it to get

We are going to try it again tonight he read the book again which states

that we need to hit the start screen after we change the antenna which we

were not doing but I cannot believe that it is that hard to get connection

between the antenna and the device. I mean the device is 2 inches long the

antenna is huge!

I am very small as well I weigh 125 so I know its not a matter of it having

to go through a lot of fatty tissue. I was using the device directly on the

skin.

My rep showed me how to do it in the drs office last week when I went in for

a check up and he had problems getting it to show up too. He finally got a

few bars on skin so he told me to do it directly on the skin.

Anyway I wanted to ask does anyone else here have issues like this when you

are charging???? Or is this somethign that is unusual?

If we cannot get any better luck tonight I am calling the rep tomorrow to

see if maybe I have a piece of defective equipment. I do not want to be

stuck over Xmas holidays with a dead battery on my stimulator and no one

around to help me!

I have tried it both with the belt on and off. I cannot get any bars at all! I

was doing it without the stim on. I did not even know for a while that I could

activate the stim from there til I hit that button and did it Imagine my

suprise!

So did you have the same thing? You could not get any bars at all? I was

standing and sitting and hubby was moving the antenna device all over my back on

that side. Heck we even tried the side and I moved it around to my abdomen to

see if that might pick up something! I never could get any bars at all with the

belt then I finally got 2 bars for maybe 2 min with the belt then I got an error

msg. Hubby then got 4 bars for maybe 1 min and then error msg again.

We are going to play with it again tonight. Hopefully we will have an easier

time with it then.

I cannot sit on mine as it is implanted up higher The incision is more mid back

on the left side. I guess I could put it between me and the pillow behind me

and sit and read. How long does it take for yours to recharge?

Well we have success! Hubby kept messing with it. I was about ready to throw in

the towel but we finally found a spot on my side get that and I am charging now.

I have all the bars blacked in! I told hubby he better put an X on me to mark

the spot as I am not keen on spending 45 min trying to find the place next time.

Kim,

Mine is high up as well. I lean back against the pillows....I was stupid I

was charging and charging,...thinking that the symbol for the handheld

device was the symbol for the generator. I am glad u got it to work...it

gets easier. Make sure u have the alarm on so if you lose connectivity it

will alarm

Try pushing on one side of your battery pack.  I did this and was able to get

more of the flat side of the battery closer and then mine charged.  I have been

having trouble getting my new one to charge and it is because the battery keeps

shifting in the pocket in my back.  It varies on how long it takes to charge; it

depends on how low your battery is and how many bars you get when charging.

I don't have any problems charging. My charger usually shows all the

bars or one or two less. I don't recall where your SCS is located or

what kind you have, but I have extra things I have to attach to my

charger to get good connection. There just little plastic things to

make my stimulator stick out more so I get better connection. My SCS

book says if it goes dead that the doctor has to do something to

restart it and the second time it goes dead it's just dead. Has

anyone had that problem? I'm afraid to let the SCS drop below 1/2

charge. I'm very forgetful and afraid I will forget to charge it and

let it go dead. Will it really stop recharging if I accidentally let

the battery go dead?

Can you feel your stimulator through your skin. I feel for the edge

of my stimulator and that helps me get the charger in the right

spot. I also find I get a better signal between the SCS and charger

if I sit or lay on it. My stimulator is in the hip/buttocks area so

sitting on it isn't a problem. Maybe you could try putting the

charger where the SCS is and then laying on it.

My stim has shut off. Sometimes if I forget to charge or were busy, all of a

sudden it just stops. But all I have to do is put my charger on. It takes it

anywhere from 45 mins to an hour to start again and then I continue to charge to

get a full charge. But that's happened to me about 6 times. That's why I put

it on at least every other day if I'm home to keep it completely charged up. I

don't ever turn mine off.

I don't have any problems charging. My charger usually shows all the

bars or one or two less. I don't recall where your SCS is located or

what kind you have, but I have extra things I have to attach to my

charger to get good connection. There just little plastic things to

make my stimulator stick out more so I get better connection. My SCS

book says if it goes dead that the doctor has to do something to

restart it and the second time it goes dead it's just dead. Has

anyone had that problem? I'm afraid to let the SCS drop below 1/2

charge. I'm very forgetful and afraid I will forget to charge it and

let it go dead. Will it really stop recharging if I accidentally let

the battery go dead?

cannot get it to get any bars on the screen. I got hubby to work with

me so if I was not just getting it in the right spot or something. He

was unable to get it on the right spot as well. AT one time we had 4

bars on the screen but it only lasted like 1 min then we got the no

communication error screen.
