Guest guest
I was wondering if anyone has went through having their stim removed after it has been permanently implanted. Mine's been in for two years and my surgeon has to go in to repair Spinal leaks and remove spinal fluid that has been there for two years. I've not used mine at all in about a year because of all the problems I had with it. It has taken this long for them to figure out that the horrendous headaches I get daily are a result of the fluid. Since they have to remove the leads, I told them to leave everything out; that I've had more trouble with it in. If anyone has had this done, could you tell me about any problems you had post-op, pain increases, etc. Mine is in my cervical area and I know that it will be painful but I'm having so MUCH PAIN from the fluid being there that I'm hoping after healing up, I will have some pain relief. I have had RSD for three years and this is my 3rd stim surgery. I will have it taken out Dec. 17th. Fortunately, it is not the same doctor that messed me up to begin with. Thanks for your input. Reading postings from everyone about their experiences has helped me to feel " not so alone " .
