I wanted to wish you much luck and all my healing thoughts for your upcoming

hospital stay and your surgery. I hope everything goes well for you and that you

have an uneventful stay.

Hope they give you some good Christmas treats on your tray hehe!

Off on my Travels (again)

Hi Everyone,

Sorry that I have not been in touch for a while but I've been having a few

problems with the pain. My pain specialist has been giving me my weekly nerve

blocks but because things have been pretty bad he has been adding steroids to

the injections to make them more effective and to last longer. The downside to

this is that I am diabetic and the steroids send my blood sugars up, not

dangerously high but high enough to make me feel very unwell.

The date for my op is all fixed and I am flying out on Sunday morning and I'll

be in the hospital from about lunchtime and I'm having my old stim taken out and

the new one put in on Tuesday. I'm due to be in the neurological unit for about

7 days but I'm not sure when I'll be coming back yet. The plan is that on my

return I'll be admitted to my local hospital so chances are I'm going to be

hospitalized over Christmas. Yippee!! Free Christmas lunch! LOL.

As I won't be taking my laptop with me I want to take this opportunity to wish

all of you a very happy and pain free Christmas and I hope and pray that you all

get the relief from your pain and worries that you all so richly deserve in the

coming year. I know I have not been a part of the group for very long but you

are an amazing bunch of people and have been so kind and caring. You have helped

me so much and I can't thank you enough for that.

Take good care of yourselves

Love and hugs
