Guest guest
Thank you for taking the time - much appreciated. I am happy to hear that you are doing so well, and that you had strong parents! However, I am sorry to hear about the fertility problems. As for Caroline, I do not think that her eyes are that bad. They are small, the bridge of her nose is very wide, and she looks tired - but her vision is fine and her 'pupil' is free so she can see easily, she puts her head a bit backwards when looking straight ahead - but all in all they could be much worse. However, operation will be necessary at some point, and I am very interested in hearing about your doctor at Morefield. I will insist on having her examined by specialists abroad since there seems to be very limited knowledge here - and I definitely do not want her to be 'test material'. So if you have a chance, it would be great if you could drop me a name+address of your surgeon. We have no other family members affected by this so it came as a big surprise - and because of the limited knowledge here, she has been tested for Down's, I have been asked if her father is Chinese.., and the first eye specialist told that she 'just had some extra skin for her nose to develop, which would happen shortly'. You write that you still have special eyes - what have the operations done for you? Have they been able to make your eyes 'wider' or more open? What about your family history - anyone before you? Any siblings affected? , I hope I do not bother you with all my questions but I am really in the dark here, and I want to 'well-dressed' for my next meeting at the hospital, since another big worry is that CarĂ³line does not get the care available because of the limited knowledge. Hope you can assist me, thanks and have a great day, nne
