Guest guest
Hi Jill, So glad to hear the surgery went ok for Ruth:)...How old is she?, where are you guys from? My son Ethan, (the younger ethan in the pix, on his tummy as a baby flying:), looks a lot like your Ruth eyes before surgery, he hasn't had any surgery yet, Drs said to wait til he is about 4! seems so long, but he insists at this point we'll get better results waiting, as they are more matured, what was the reason Ruth had surgery done now?...Looking forward to hearing back from you:) Leanne:) -- blepharophimosis Ruths surgery Ruths surgery went well. Guest guest
-Hi, Leanne, Ruth is six months old. Her Doctor wanted her to have the surgery because sometimes her pupils were partially blocked by her eyelids and the doc was worried she could start to loose vision from not totally using her pupils. We are from Massachusetts, USA. Where are you from? Ruths Doctor works out of the Boston Childrens Hospital. The doctor said she will probably not need another surgery until she isa older if we decide she needs the permanent surgery. How old is your little guy now. He is a cutey. Hope to talk with you again, Jill- - In blepharophimosis , leelee <tltne@c...> wrote: > Hi Jill, > > So glad to hear the surgery went ok for Ruth:)...How old is she?, where are > you guys from? Guest guest
- leanne, the doctors did make a small incision on the outsides of Ruths eyes to make them open wider. They also used a sling, not a tendon, for her eyes. Before Ruth had her surgery we thought she could see fine but since the surgery its incredible how much more she seems to notice and how excited she seems to get. She also has the biggest smile. Her smile could brighten any room. We get alot of questions about Ruth, especially from my other childrens friends. I worry about how it will be for her when she is older and starts school but I guess thats along way away.
