I spent more than two hours on the phone with Matsumoto Friday

concerning my earlier post about his article.

He argues persuasively that it was not his intent and he does not

believe the article claims NCI/Lederle was the source of the vaccine,

but that they were part of plans to make it elsewhere.

I see his point, but still think the casual reader is likely to reach

that conclusion from the piece.

We also agreed we have been looking at different documents. I have docs

that show NCI was a bust; he said he has a doc that shows plans were to

make vaccine at NCI and/or Lederle and ship it to Michigan for testing,

bottling and labeling as if made at Michigan.

We agreed a lot more investigation needs to be done.
