Guest guest
Thanks a. Did your surgeon do oral antibiotics a few days before surgery or just right after? Ours has always waited until infection developed but next time I will insist at least right after if not before. I'm glad to hear that all went well with the 4th surgery for you and that scarring was not noticeable. That is also a concern of mine but at this point I just want her to heal, whatever it takes, and worry about the rest later. I thought it was tough with us being 2 hours away from our surgeon, that must be very difficult for you. I've been emailing our surgeon pictures to keep him up to date without having to go as often for appointments that usually last a few minutes and she doesn't sit still long enough for him to get a good look. At least with a picture he can zoom in and really take a look. He also has trusted my judgment. I was actually draining it at home every few days while she was sleeping with a sterile needle, hoping to avoid more trips to the OR, but it would look better for a few days then come back. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks for your quick response. Patty
Guest guest
Hi: Sami also had a few granulomas after her epicanthal fold and transnasal wiring surgery. They did disappear on their own after a few months. The MD said they sometimes go away on their own or need removed surgically (very minor from what he said). I think she may be developing one again since her recent sling procedure. Patty
