Guest guest
Ok, Well Tailynn Surgery is coming up this Thursday ... Im excited but worried at the same time... I know God will guide the Dr. hands very well ... They are using ( muscle ) donner tissue for her lids instead of the orignal slings ..telling me last longer and stronger .... Well anyway I have a Question... about after words... and antiobotic.. and infection.... what to llok for ... and maybe askingthe doctor about her takening other meds...etc for fast healing process... Ive heard of vitiamn E but not sure about that.. I hope everything goes well and the donnor tissue wont reject.... ugh.. Anyway love you guys!! Guest guest
Dawn-Marie: Best of luck with the surgery. Just from the experience of two main surgeries and 4 others due to infection after meticulous care of the incisions, I would push for an antibiotic just to be safe before an infection can develop. We also made sure that the antibiotic ointment was on at all times. Sami had her sling removed last week due to a chronic infection that just wouldn't let go of the sling. Hers was silicon though. So far, so good but she is still on the antibiotic. In the past it took only 24-48 hours after off of the antibiotic for the abcess to reappear. Hopefully that won't be the case this time. I caught the incision getting pink and called the MD immediately for an antibiotic but it was too late and infection just progressed, that's why I suggest a prophylactic antibiotic from the start. Tailynn will be in our thoughts and prayers. Patty
