Guest guest
List: The USS Constellation does NOT want it's service members to speak to the press, below is a brief letter written by Joe Vera followed by a notice to all hands on the USS Constellation. Is there a strong effort aboard the USS Constellation to violate the First Amendment? The ship is receiving multiple copies of the following. Why, Lt. , did you not include contact with Congressmen. They also have questions for sailors aboard the Constellation. If the DOD is so eager to destroy the 1st Amendment, why not just go ahead and destroy our representative form of government? Lt. , I recommend to you that you send a letter to Congressmen saying they can't talk to the media. The Congressmen are saying the exact same thing a rapidly growing number of military personnel, who have not been intimidated into submission to an unlawful order; concerned parents and US citizens; Congressmen; scientists; and others are saying. Basically, they are saying the DOD cannot be trusted. Joe Vera MEDIA INQUIRIES Shipmates, All media inquiries regarding matters involving Constellation or its Sailors should always be referred to the Public Affairs office. If you are ever approached by media to comment on these matters, please politely tell them to contact the ship's Public Affairs office. This will avoid putting you in an awkward situation and will help ensure that media get the facts, not speculation or rumor. Thank you. Very Respectfully, LT Darryn C.
