Guest guest
Hi Everyone its stayce As far as family history, my sister, dad, grandfather and so on and so on were born w/ blepharophimosis. It was pretty much expected when I came around. As far as surgeries go, I have mixed feelings. I had so many b/c everytime I went back to the dr. they had new ideas to improve looks & eyesight, and basically esspecially as a young teenager, I was so determined that I needed to look like everyone else that I was willing to do anything. When you look at my eyes, it's clear that I've had many surgeries. As Bernice mentioned b4, the artifical folds are there. It's hard to get both sides the same so it's obvious they stand out. I have scars on my forhead where I had the artifical muscle/sling inserted to help increase my eye size. As far as the artifical folds, I wish I didn't have them. They look too not real, plus its near impossible to wear eye makeup. (not like that's my top thought but it's hard when you are in high school and all of your friends are & you just want to fit in).......after that made me sound totally shallow, I can honestly say the older you get the more you realize who you are as a person and it def. gets easier!
