Guest guest
Hi. I am new to your group. I have a 9 year old son with BPEI syndrome. He has had the surgeries and is doing well but over the past couple of years has started to have severe migraine headaches that are increasing in frequency. I don't know what triggers them and the doctors offer little advice. Do any of you have any experience with bleph and migraines? (Maybe the two aren't even related, but I thought I'd ask.) Thank you for your time.
Guest guest
hi that is funny that you asked about migraines and i asked the group the same thing a bit a go, i took my son ( who is 6 )to a neurologist and she says the best thing she told me to do ( and a couple of group members told me also) was to keep a diary so you can keep track of the headaches and see if you know or can pick out the triggers, my son LYNDEN gets really severe ones, he pretty much blacks out, screams, throws up, then sleeps after it all, so far nothing works but try catching it before it gets bad or even starts, i am a nurse but one of the biggest things that works is if you notice one starting have a can of coke on hand, i know it sounds weird, the caffeine in it works, then give the tylenol if you do that now, my son is going to a neurologist because his 1st and second episode was so bad they thought it was more than a headache, anyway she gave us alot of ideas to help with it but since we saw her he has not had an episode, but all of a sudden he started to get them again and i cannot remember what she said so he has another appointment with her. have you taken him to a neurologist?? they can be more of a help than a family doctor Tonikka -----Original Message-----From: pam_blumer [mailto:pam_blumer@...]Sent: June 24, 2004 4:57 PMblepharophimosis Subject: blepharophimosis 9-year old with blephHi.
