Dear -

The previous surgery that preceded the Stills certainly is adding to your

anxiety now. It sure is understandable. I send my wishes that the surgery

goes well. I had the same operation two years ago, and I felt much better

afterwards. The Stills behaved itself and the surgery took care of other

problems! Hope things go smoothly for you.

Dearest ,

Finally the day arrives, and of course you feel like

crying. That's only natural hon. Please try not to

be afraid that the Stills might be worse after the

surgery...maybe it will be a little better! After I had

that same surgery back in 1991, the disease let

up on torturing me for several years. Oh, I still had

the Stills, but, it seemed the " dragon " rested more

often. The severity of the pain was less often.

Take care , I know Dan will be at your side

before and after the surgery....tell him to give you a

big hug for me...okay??

Your forever friend, ~~tricia~

Prayers for a speedy recovery!!!!

-- off to surgery

Well gang, I am off to surgery tomorrow morning at 9:30. I am a little

worried. I know it is silly but July 21 1999 I went in for a gallbladder

surgery and only 37 days later I began to have the very first symptoms of

Still's. So as you can guess no matter how hard I try and just can't keep

down that little voice screaming in my head that something will go wrong.

SHHH!! I want to yell but it does not work. I love you all and will be

thinking about all of you. Until we met again,

Do you ICQ? I do! My number is 145599444. Drop me a note:)

How about IM, I am bigred82799.

Also find me on MSN Messenger with my email address or Bigred.

Surgery is scary. Always is, always will be. You will be fine. Just keep telling

yourself the surgery is the easy part. All I have to di is just sleep. And when

you are done, you get to be a lady of leisure and be waited on hand and foot

like royalty. Recovery will be a bugger in terms of work because you will have

to go home and care for yourself. When you have surgery over, you can say Whew!

I did it, now all I have left is the easy stuff. (because you are again in

control, not asleep) So, in reality... it's all a piece of cake. Oh, did someone

mention cake? I think I belong in Tricia's group of comfort addicts. What's

wrong with a little comfort anyway? Thanks to all my drugs I look like I

indulge, even if only in my dreams. =)

Hi, I will include you in my prayers. I know it's a scary thing but

maybe this time will be different. Keep a positive mind and just know

you will be all right. Be sure to come back here when you get home and

let us know how you are doing.

I know I don't write much on here but with having three children home

for summer and this pain well I will be praying for you.

God Bless you,

ette

Dearest ,

I was thinking about you last night friend and was not sure if it was today or

tomorrow for your surgery, so I am so glad that you took the time to click on

and tell us. I have had the same surgery friend, I will be thinking about you

and wishing you well wishes tomorrow morning and I wish for a fast recovery for

you, but remember to be good to yourself and listen to your body, okay? You

will be missed . Hugs.

Love, Sue #2

Well, we're getting ready to head to the hospital for Garrett's ptosis repair. We still have a couple of hours before we have to be there. Surgery is scheduled for 11:15. Hopefully everything goes according to plan. The surgeon will be using a gortex material instead of the fascia from the leg. He said that Garrett is just to skinny to take it from the leg and he'll need another surgery when he's older so he'll just use it then. I'll give everyone an update when we get home.
