Guest guest
Hi, everyone. Some of you I've met before in other venues. I have an adorable 2 1/2 year old, named , with BPES. He's our middle child and we have no history of BPES in either family. He has the classic eye lid shortening, droopy lids & slanted eyebrows, along with a large hole (VSD) in his heart at birth. He had the hole closed surgically at 5 months and that's Fabulous now. He's also been diagnosed with cerebral palsy and receives LOTS of therapy, but he's a persistant little thing and is now climbing everything and walking. We call him " Trouble " because he loves to do those typical toddler things- pull things out of the trashcan, climb on tables and try to swing from the chandelier ( literally!), throw his food, tries to climb in the oven and empty out the fridge. We're looking at surgery here in Chicago in the next year. Anyone familiar with doctors here? We're willing to travel- anyone have great outcomes? Horrible experiences? Thanks!
