Carolines operation - or missing operation..

Well, promised to post pre/post operation pictures of Caroline, who

were scheduled for operation April 1. I will keep my promise, but the

day before surgery - we were cancelled! Reason being that there was a

chicken pox virus in the nusery and she might then affect the other

children at the hospital!! Needless to say, we were quite frustrated

since C did not have chicken pox and we were only going to be there

for one day..! To make a long story short, we were cancelled and we

have not yet been given a new surgery date.

On the other hand, I can see from reading all your postings that many

have been advised to wait if the child's eyesight is not limited -

since C does not have problems with her eyesight it may turn out that

this was good after all..?! (Eventhough, my language was definitely

not for print the day we got cancelled..!!:-)).

As for other medical issues - fortunately none. Her ears are a bit

lower than 'normal' and the left is a bit cupped, but not much. I was

told that this could be part of BPES - and before the doctor told me,

I had not really noticed it.

Hope I will be able to share the ops pictures in the near future.
