Wow, since I've been here last a few months ago there seem to have been a huge

increase in people and mail. That's great! I've already learned some new things

just

scanning the mail...and thanks for sharing your pics, everyone! We have some we

would be glad to share too.

Our son, , had his 2nd frontalis suspension surgery in November at 8 mos.

old

(his first was at 3 mos. since his eyes only could open 1 mm). He grew so fast

the

strings from his first surgery stretched out and one of his lids started

drooping.

Anyway, he's been rubbing his eyes a lot and our doctor just confirmed he has

very

dry eyes. He's rubbed them to the point where these last few days the crease in

his

eyelid (where the strings are sewn underneath) has been bleeding bright, red

blood.

We bought Lacrilube on the doc's reccomendation to keep his eyes moist, and am

supposed to update the doc monday on 's progress.

I'm just a little anxious...its such a fight getting the ointment in his eyes

and he is very

persistent about rubbing them. And I don't quite understand where the bleeding

is

coming from, since I don't see a scratch, and it seems to be seeping from the

eyelid

crease. Surgery was 11/19 and I would think everything has healed up pretty much

by

now. Can someone explain this to me?

We already had one infection from one of the incisions above his eyebrow, I hope

we

don't have another one.

Thanks,

Debbie
