Guest guest
Sorry I have not been writing...tis the season and what a hectic one it is! Dr. the ophthalmologist told me that Hannah's vision is not obstructed in anyway and the opening of her lids is definitely getting stronger with time. I told him about her favoring her right eye so he patched her left eye to see what she would do. The little stinker held her right eye open like a champ and proved me wrong. He told me patching is not something he recommends at this time. The next step is an appointment to see the ocular plastic surgeon Dr. Gossman. Hannah had to be referred by Dr. to see him. Dr. Gossman will determine when she will need surgery and talk to me more in depth about BPES whereas Dr. could not answer a lot of questions that I had. Her appointment with Dr. Gossman is in January. I think the appointment went well. I was very pleased with the vision test he did on Hannah and how much she uses her eyes despite her droopy eye lids. I told the Doc about this group and wrote it down for him incase other BPES patients would like to join. Hannah is such a blessing and I want to thank everyone for there continued support! We love you all and hope you have a wonderful holiday season!
