Hi

I was the same as Stina,I didnt even take a headache pill, smoke or drink and my daughter has BPES and quite severe ptosis,my son is Autistic also.I think maybe it is a genetic thing between a couple sometimes,or we could say we are given this special children because we are special too and maybe can cope better than others,Thats what I like to think!!!???.

Take care

Hi

I didn't take any medication what so ever (not even for headaches or that sort of things) and Alice was still born with BPES. I sincerely do not think that medication has anything to do with BPES, it is a matter of genetic.

I did not take any meds. As I understand no one is finding a common link for causes. It just seems to happen. I took aprogestrone type of medication during my first 3months of pregnancy and my daughter was born with botheye ptosis, the right eye mor serious. Now I'mwondering if that med had anything to do with During my first pregnancy with my older daughter,I did not take the medication and his eyes, as wellas, everything else is fine. Maybe there is aconnection.__________________________________________________

Hi there,

I, as well did not take any medication, I don't smoke, (can't even stand been next to someone who smokes!) never drunk alcohol ( while pregnant) I've never done drugs, I took prenatel vitamins, even extra folic while trying to concieve, I did everything right! Our first son was born without bleph, but our 2nd son was??? And it does not run in either side of our families? Its just one of those things! It just shows that even though you do everything you can to have that healthy baby sometimes you are thrown a teeny tiny curve ball, but gosh, what cuties they are! wouldn't change our Ethan for the world:) He is our angel:) xxx

I did not take or do anything unacceptable. However, I was on a prescription dose of Iron due to Anemia AND during the second trimester I came down with a severe virus that took me done completely. It's always in the back of my mind that the virus had something to do with it.
