Guest guest
Hi list, I want to thank you all for the great job you are doing. Especially Christi and for your encouraging e-mails. Yesterday, my husband called me from the ship where he had been ordered to write his letter of refusal to the Captain. He said they made him watch a video, which I guess was a joke as far as answering any real questions. Anyway, we are hoping that it will take them at least a week to send him to Captain's Mast. I am supposed to see him on Thursday and I won't know if he is restricted until after I get there! (He goes underway next week). On the advice of Christi, we have started to record EVERYTHING that happens. Even now they are calling him names to imply that he is weak for not taking the shot. Pretty funny huh? A man stands up for himself, which is supposed to be what America is about, and instead he is persecuted for being true to himself! A little ironic I think. So far he has only officially refused. Hopefully his captain will realize that my husband is a hard worker and is too valuable to loose. But if he does not, well, I get him home just that much sooner. Little do they realize, that if they kick him out, they will give us what we want--to finally get to be together. Of course we will fight this as he doesn't deserve to loose anything, but the bright side is, I will have him home safe and healthy. Good luck everyone. You are all in my prayers. Cheer up.....whatever happens, it sounds like you will be with him, and that's a lot more than a lot of military servicemembers have, especially if they are in a place like Bosnia, Kosovo, Korea, Haitia, or all over the world in the navy or the marines.
