Hi everyone,

Thank you all so much for all your nice mails wishing us luck! It is so sweet of you and it is nice knowing that there are people out there going through the same thing with their children. This support group is wondeful!

It all went very well and little Alice was coping just fine with it all. I had a hard time when they were putting her to sleep before the surgery. She was crying and it was just so horrible... ;-(

She woke up after about two hours but she has spent most of the day sleeping. But she has also had some cake, played and smiled. She is just so brave!

She looks amazing now! She has a fine crease on each eyelid and she has 3 stiches above each eyebrow. She is a bit swollen but she looks just fine! She can open up her eyes a lot more now and that is wonderful! She is so pretty!

Today she is like nothing has happend at all. She is playing and she seems perfectly happy. I'm so glad that it is over for this time. Next surgery will be when she is about 5 years old.

Thank you all for your support!

Hi everyone,

It has been quite a while since I last wrote something to the group. I have been busy enjoing life with my wonderful daughter Alice, who is now almost 14 months. I hope that you all are well!

Tomorrow is a big day for us. Alice is going to have her first surgery at 8 am. The surgeon is the same who once did my eyes. Tomorrow he will put slings in for Alice and we will wait with the epichantus until she is about 4-5 years old.

I have been very nervous and I have been crying a lot this past week. But now when it is finally going to happen I actually feel ok. Alice is a tought little one and she will manage just fine!

Please, keep your fingers crossed tomorrow.

I will be back with news soon.

Take care!

Love from Stina and Alice (both born with BPES and live in Sweden)
