Hi Leanne,

I had to go back and look at Ethan's pics again...it's been a while!

You are right, I think they do look similar. It was kind of weird when

Caylie had her surgery. We were just getting used to her monthly

check-ups, and every time the Dr. would say that everything looked fine

and she did not need a lift yet. We did not see much of a difference in

her ability to see, and we went in to that appointment thinking he would

tell us what he always did... " everything looks good for now, we do not

want to do anything at this point unless we have to " , but to our

surprise, he discovered that the size of her openings had changed and

she needed a " lift " right away (literally...we went in for surgery

within a week). It did not come at the best of times either because I

was just going into final exams at the University, and we had a trip

booked to Mexico. It all worked out great in the end though, and it

made a HUGE difference because we thought she was just a late crawler,

but she started crawling the night the surgery was done. We ended up

going to Mexico anyway because the Dr. said the climate would be good,

and she healed quickly.

Gotta run....

Trish

blepharophimosis Caylies eyes:)

Hi there,

Just took a look at Caylie's latest pix, her eyes as a baby before

surgery are identical to our wee guys...exactly!...:) You have a

beautiful wee girl:) Do you know what age her next operation will be?

and will it be the epicanthus surgery? Our wee man has just turned 2,

and has had no surgeries yet, not until about age 4, isn't it funny

how all surgeons have different times when to do that 1st surgery, as

caylies eyes look just like Ethans, yet he has no problems with his

sight, nor does he have a head up posture! Did Caylie? What was the

reason they did surgery so young? Look forward to hearing from you:)

There are pix of Ethan at the site, the younger Ethan wearing the

pumpkin outfit:) talk soon....
