Hi Beth,

Are you still living in the Pittsburgh area? It's interesting that

both your father and grandfather have BPES. Were they both born in

Pittsburgh, and did they have corrective surgery? I have often thought

that the syndrome was somehow related to the highly polluted

environment of these former steel towns. Another girl a few years

younger than me, with Blepharophimosis, was also born in Beaver Co.,

and I thought that it could not simply be a coincidence.

How is your little daughter? Has she had any surgeries? I wish you and

your wee one special blessings!

Hi

I don't live in PGH anymore but I visit often to see my parents! I

grew up in Glenshaw.

It is the result of a mutated gene, has nothing to do with pollution.

My dad had surgery my grandpa did not.

My daughter has had slings already. My doctor when I was little was

Dr. Weiser.

Do you live in Beaver Cty?

Wishing you blessings, also, wish I had known you 30 years ago...

I still haven't actually seen anyone in person other than my family

members with BPES.
