My, my, Al.........I still say that you are a brave man.........now posting a

picture! Yep, you can tell what time of year a picture is taken in the

Chicago area! In Florida, it is just green & hot, greener and hotter and

finally really green and stifling hot, but occasionally the weatherman breaks

it up with a hurricane although after 25 years of board up the house, store

the food & water and pray that all the work was for nothing, it does get a

bit old. Of course, I think I said the same thing about snow!!!!!!!!!

Bottom line, I guess there is no pleasing some people!

Nice looking car, enjoy what makes you happy. Sometimes with the RA, the

happy days seem to elude us!

Well, hopefully spring is just around the corner and you can take that " baby "

out for a spin if you can afford the gas by then!!!!!!!

Weekend is almost over.........hope you and yours have a good week ahead!

Gentle, tender, warmer weather angel hugs,

Debs in FL

Hi June,

Geeze, you're makeing me blush...;) If you're ever around the

Libertyville area I would be honored to take you for a spin.

I've seen the clock. Very cool.

Love and hugs,

Debs!

How are you dear? Hopefully feeling somewhat better. Yeah, I have

always been kinda brave and maybe a bit foolish at times too...LOL!

It's funny that you mention the weather. It snowed last night. Of

course it wasn't in the forecast... Heck, what is?

I remember those Florida season changes well. Hot, rainy, hurricane.

Here we have summer, winter, construction...

I try and enjoy life as much as possible. Couldn't tell from my e-

mails huh?...;) I take the car out as often as possible. You're right

about those gas prices though. Luckily the car gets good milage when

my foot is light...LOL!

I am sooooooooooooooooo glad to see you posting. I have been thinking

of you often and hope you are feeling somewhat better. How have you

been? Please let me know.

Take care sweetie.

Hi Ladies,We are back from the get together. Well at least most of us are by this time. Pam and Shari are probably still flying home, but Patty, Daryl and I left yesterday and were home last night. Either way I ended up leaving work early today becasue I just felt so crappy. I am resting but did feel up to posting some photos of the get together, so you all can at least share the experience in some way, with all of us.To see the photographs you have to go to the main website for this group and then you have to go into the section (which will be on your left side, it will say "PHOTOS" click on that and then you will have to either click on "Show All" or "Next" because they

are alphabetically in orrder. The photo folder marked "Idaho Get together" is where all the photos from this trip are.I have only added the ones that I took and oviously the other girls have some too.At any rate I need to go lay back down and rest up since I am not feeling 100% well right now. The trip however, was incredible and wonderful. The girls are so awesome! I am so glad we did this as I feel it was such a healing thing for us emotionally! Anyhow I will try to post more later when I am feeling better.Hugs

Hi LM,

To be truthful I don't think it was food poisononing.I think I

actually must of caught the flu. I had a sore throat on Saturday

morning and then by Sunday am I knew I just was not quite feeling

right. But It was a fanastc trip. We all had so much fun, and we all

just hit it off so wonderfully. I think, too, doing something like

this where we could blow off some steam, vent a bit about our pain

and talk about things that NO ONE other than other implant victims

can relate too, was such a healing experience. I miss all the girls.

TOday I was thinking about how nice it would be to live in the same

town with some women from here. It seems that there is never anyone

to vent to about this stff who really gets it and it was neat to be

around the girls because they all had the same story, the same

symptoms, the same crappy treatment by Dr's. We all just couldn't

stop talking. It was funny how we just immediately hit it off like

that and from the common bond we all share of course we were instant

friends, actaully more like sisters.

For Patty and I it has been almost 5 years that I first met her. When

I think about that it is amazing that it took so long for her and I

to hook up in person at some point in those 4 1/2 years, but it did.

Anyhow don't want to just ramhle on here forever so i should get

going.

I hope that your doing well too!

Dear :

Hi. I hope you feel better soon.

I'm so glad you had a good time. I wish I had been there. You deserved a nice break with Patty and friends. What a beautiful place and you all looked lovely too. I love that pink shirt on you--you're in great shape and looked great!

I want to meet both you and Patty some time in months to come. I might go to Salt Lake City in Oct. so if you want to met up there, or sort of near there, let me know.

I'm heading out now--more hiking. I'm on a ROLL! Thanks for the encouragement--I'm getting hooked! What a healthy addiction!naturalbeauty38 <naturalbeauty38@...> wrote:

Thanks for the compliments. I find it hilarious that I got so many

compliments on that pink top hee hee, it was on Clearance for 5

dollars in the mall here in Idaho Falls, too funny! No i am not

embarassed to admit it either it makes me feel good that I can find

such deals hee hee hee.

I am glad to hear your working out, good for you girl, it will help

you in so many ways, esp to feel better emotionally as well as

physically. It sucks that I cannot walk more (fast work out type

walking esp) because of my feet still giving me trouble. Patty and I

headed off on a long fast walk and it felt so good but by the time I

had to turn around my feet were starting to kill me, I wish I could

heal my feet once and foreall and be done with foot pain.

Hi :

5 bucks--that's so funny. What a great bargain!

Have you been to the rheumatologist about your feet? Do you still wear Birkies?

I have no dates for SLC yet, I'm pretty flexible--depending on my part time classes--if I go. I love SLC. I was there in Oct 01 and have wanted to go back. I want to go somewhere warm and/or scenic.I have not traveled since November, this is a record for me. I just want to get my health on track. I'm getting my hormonal and rheumy labs done on Wednesday or Thursday. I also have a derm appt. I'm getting rashes so I need to check it out--it comes and goes on my inner arms and abdomen--little red spots.

I went to a rheumy here once, in Idaho falls there is only 1 rheumy,

which is silly since this town alone has 50,000 population and with

the surrounding little farm towns there really is a need for more

than one rheumy. This one is a super busy, super bad jerk of a Dr and

I hate him. He did not one thing for me and basically had no ideas

for what the foot thing is. I have a pain Dr who has diagnosed me

with achilles tendonitis and that seems to make the most sense. The

girls on the SV trip all know because I showed them the way the pain

is in the very back of my heels, it has to be from having shortened

my achilles tendon so many years with high heels.I think I have two

theories, one in wich implants did something to raise the inflamation

in my body and the other which is that it is a coincidence and has

nothing to do with implants(since it at times is worse than it ever

was before with implants) i often wonder if implants are involved in

it or not. My foot pain in my arch and toes, when I had implants,

went away with removal, my heel pain started after along time of not

even having implants, where it went high into the heel. So it is

often so confusing, I just don't know what to think or do about it

besides taking my supplements and stretching and keeping fit and

active. At this point Dr's have promised me enough crap that did not

work that I feel I am done with seeking any more help with Dr's. That

may change at some time, just not now.

It is kind of funny but my Husband has really taught me how to be a

big time bargain shopper, ha ha. I always hit the sales racks at my

favorite stores in town and usually do really well. I needed summer

stuff for this SV trip but also for California in July, so I hit a

few stores and really did well. All the cute little tops I got were

not more than 15 bucks at the most. In SV we went to a few shops,

some were really pricey like a skirt for $400 bucks hee hee, but this

consignment shop had the most adorable stuff, and they did not cost

much at all. I somehow manage to get lucky on this stuff. Also that

they fit me, it was pure luck!

I don't wear Burkies much anymore, for some reason I really do better

in a shoe with a bit of a heel. I think my favorite, most comfy shoes

are a pair of clogs I bought for $35.00 at the " famous Footwear "

outlet. I do have a pair of birkies and some mephistos that are

extremely comfy too.

I got tired of spending $100-300 for a pair of shoes. Esp after

paying $300 for my stupid soft orthotics and $400 for the rigid ones.

Yes that is a record for you, I remember you were always traveling

off to somewhere when I first met you.

I love to travel. It is right up there on my list of favorite things.

I want to see Tahiti and Fiji so bad. Those are my dream trips. Might

be another year or two before I get there, but I am pretty determined.

As for your rash, I don't recall you mentioning this before. IS it a

fairly new thing along with your elevated ANA? Do you notice if it

gets worse or acts up when your in the sun?

Let me know, meanwhile I will pray about it tonight.

have not traveled since November, this is a record for me. I just

want to get my health on track. I'm getting my hormonal and rheumy

labs done on Wednesday or Thursday. I also have a derm appt. I'm

getting rashes so I need to check it out--it comes and goes on my

inner arms and abdomen--little red spots.

Dear :

Yes, other than going by car to Va. Beach, Baltimore and NC, I've been grounded--no flying in over 6 months--that's how sick I got on the hgh injections.

I'd love to go to Tahiti and Figi too. My friend went there and loved it.

I avoid the sun and use sunscreens. I first noticed these rashes in Jan.03, about six weeks after my blepharoplasty/laser surgery. The rash comes and goes. My ANA is postive but not high on the titer.I'm going to a dermatologist at GWU tomorrow, I hope they're not a dud.

ANA tests are funny, the results can vary so much, my first test was

just barely positive, and so I was not that concerned yet, but then

again in 3 months it was higher, it was it's highest immediately

following explant at 1:640 that is really high, but my Dr explained

the surgery probably dumped allot of toxins in me. It slowly went

back down and has been negative in the last 3 testings, wich were

over the last 3 years. I am convinced it has not turned positive

again since then.

I also feel good so I know that I am negative. I can now go in the

sun and not get a rash or burn. I tan like I used to. I know I know

everyone says it is bad for you. I just look at the sun differently

in that it is natural and full of vitamin D. I feel good about

getting some color.

I do try to hide my face and yes, I cheat and do tanning salons here

but if you lived in Idaho Falls in Winter you might too, I cover my

face with a towell and tan once a week, it keeps me from getting

depressed from lack of sun light. Our days are very short here in the

winter.

hugs to you LM

Hi. Glad your ANAs are gone!

I have a chronic high WBC--high normal to over normal all the time.

My scalp hurts--feels crawly--I wonder if I have fungus? I'm going to ask the derm tomorrow. I have chronic dandruff.

LM, High white blood count is a sign of a reactive immunity. And a sign of infection. Has it went down at all since explant?
