Guest guest
Hi Nicola Many thanks for your message. is actually very big for his age and was sitting up by 7 months, but didn't start rolling over or making any attempt to move until he was 12 months old. He started off bottom shuffling at about 13 months and in the last 4 weeks he has started crawling, pulling himself up and walking round the furniture. I think that the last 4 weeks have seen the most development and I am now much more reassured that there is no problem with his mobility. My main worry is how I am going to keep the Christmas tree up as he is VERY inquisitive!! I work part time and goes to Nursery whilst I am at work and the staff at the nursery are very supportive and reassure me that he doing really well. It is difficult not to compare your baby to the other babies and older siblings. My health visitor has been really good to me and arranged for to have development checks at the local hospital - just to give me peace of mind- all I would say to you is don't be frightened of being a pest! Please let me know how Grace progresses. Donna & (West Midlands) > > Hi Donna > Your little boy sounds a delight. My daughter, Grace, is 9 months old. She is also the first in our family to have this condition. I was worried about her slow development as both her older brothers were doing much more at this age. At first we thought it might be due to her size. She only weighs 13lb now and was 4lb 7oz at birth (full term) She has begun to roll over this week but is still not sitting up, although she loves being upright. We were referred to physio by our local hospital to check Graces progress. They were not concerned about her as she is doing all the things that lead to sitting up. It is great to hear from other people who are going through the same issues. > Nicola and Grace (bradford, U.K) > > > --------------------------------- > Messenger NEW - crystal clear PC to PC calling worldwide with voicemail >
