Guest guest
> > Hi Everybody! > , I don't watch Grey's Anatomy, but wish I did after what you mentioned. Last night my daughter and I were talking about that very thing...choice. I asked her if she actually has given thought to " not " having children because there's a 50/50 chance of passing it on. (We do not know what type she has). She said yes, she has given it thought. That made me so sad. She said she doesn't want her children to be teased like she was teased. I have to say that I never knew she went through as much " growing pains " as I thought. We never treated her any different, except that she spent time with specialist's and Dr. appts. and had two surgeries. I personally want her to have children and as many as she can and wants. Hey, I had and she is the most beautiful young woman I know. She's strong-willed and talented and I hope that she meets the man of her dreams and plans on having a beautiful life with him, whether they have children or not. She is very much in favor > of adoption if that is the only way. She loves kids and is going to school to hopefully become an RN. Take care everyone and you are all beautiful. I love everybody's pics, too! Terry > > > --------------------------------- > FareChase - Search multiple travel sites in one click. > Hi Terry, I liked your email and thank you for sharing. How old is your daughter? I have had acquired ptosis since I was 7 and yes, some kids (and even today, adults!) can be tormenting. I am 35 and found out just a couple years ago, my dr. discouraged me from having children. I am not in a relationship right now, so I guess I am okay with it. I wanted to tell you how wonderful I think it is that you support your daughter and think so very much of her. I do hope that one day I do find a very wonderful man who understands. Warm wishes for you and your family. Smiles, a
Guest guest
Hi a I have been reading your posts and I was not able to follow something you mentioned: > I am 35 and found out just a couple years ago, my dr. > discouraged me from having children. I am not in a > relationship right now, so I guess I am okay with it. I I am not sure I understand - is your doctor discouraging you from having children because of the acquired Ptosis? If that is the case, did your doctor provide you with a reason? I am not doubting the doctor's wisdom, just curious, as I know very little about acquired Ptosis. Guest guest
Hi Shirleen, I was surprised too...apparently I have a mitrochondrial disease and the ptosis. I am still learning a lot about both. I am 35 now and about 2-3 years ago my dr. said I could pass this on to my child and discouraged me bearing children. I am not in a relationship so it is okay for now.... =o) aAndy Bowles & Shireen Mohandes <andy.bowles@...> wrote: Hi aI have been reading your posts and I was not able to follow something youmentioned:> I am 35 and found out just a couple years ago, my dr. > discouraged me from having children. Guest guest
a I don't understand exactly, if you have acquired ptosis are you sure you can pass that on to a child? Also, do you know if you have BPES or not? I don't want to pry, but I think you should consult someone who can clear things up for you before you make decisions that will affect your life. I am not saying you should run out and have a child if you otherwise aren't prepared for one, but I don't think you should limit yourself based on what may or may not be just one person's advice. I have BPES and so does my dad and my baby daughter. > > > > Hi Everybody! > > , I don't watch Grey's Anatomy, but wish I did after > what you mentioned. I will be 36 in a few mos and I am not worried about having kids since as of now, I am not in a relationship. I just take things one day at a time...Thanks for your thoughts....Smiles, a
