Guest guest
Below is a blurb from the most recent Mercola newsletter. Did y'all see the television newsmagazine show last night about the little boy named Ben who died during surgery? I didn't see the first few minutes of it, but I think it was for an ear surgery. The doctor injected the WRONG drug into the boy's ear. Not only that, but from the television report the drug that was supposed to be administered (lidocaine) wasn't even supposed to be injected, but simply applied topically. The report said that it is only injected in cases of emergency. And how stupid are hospitals? Would you believe that it was standard procedure for a nurse to get all the drugs to be used for surgery and then take them from their original labeled bottles and put them into a bowl. Multiple drugs - multiple bowls. Sure they supposedly label the bowls, but talk about setting yourself up for human error. That is supposedly what happened here, the doc got the wrong drug from the wrong bowl. So it took a little boy dying for the hospital to change its system to drugs being drawn directly from their bottle.
