Guest guest
Hello a ! I hope that everything is going well for you. The city that I'm referring to is Carolina, Puerto Rico where my family lives. You mentioned that you live in North Carolina. I truly love the smokies. I have gone several times to Cherokee and always stay at a hotel by the river and waking up in the morning to the sound of the water and the sweet smell of the air is like been in heaven for me. I took my mom there when she came to visit me once and she fell in love with the same beauty. Me and Her are so much alike and our hearts usually fall for the same things. We are looking at our schedules and with God's Help as I mentioned I'm planning a trip to Puerto Rico in May for the wedding then my mom and one of my sisters is planning to come to Atlanta in July. If she does come, more than likely I will be spending a weekend in cherokee so if that is not too far from you that would be a lovely time for us to meet and any other member that lives in the area. If you were to meet my mom you would see why is that I speak about her the way that I do. She is very petite but her heart is larger than life. While I'm here I wanted to let everyone know that I had my second booster treatment this afternoon. I'm beginning to feel thet start of that horrible nausea so I better get ready and go on to bed. Take good care of yourself and May God Always Bless You All ! Guest guest
Dear Tony, So glad you enjoyed them! I planted a Japanese Maple in front of my house last spring. I thought it would not survive the harsh winter, but it did! It was so small (less than 1’ high) but it made it. It will eventually become a medium sized tree with small burgundy leaves. I think they are beautiful miniature-like trees. That is a great idea with the cactus. I have some cactus that I need to plant and I may put them outside like that too. I’m also attempting to clear the back of the yard with big clippers, so I can get lots more space and maybe develop the wetland back there, see picture. Looks bad doesn’t it? But I will make it look nice, like the garden and walkway at Commander’s Palace in NOLA! The other picture is how the back looked just a few weeks ago. Hope you are feeling good and can get outside today! Love, -----Original Message----- From: tazz001@... [mailto:tazz001@...] Sent: Tuesday, March 25, 2003 8:11 PM Subject: RE: [ ] Hello ! Hello ! Guest guest
Tony, Always good to hear from you. I am sure tomorrow will be wonderful. You amaze me with your spirit. Patty [ ] Hello ! Hi ! I hope that when you receive this e-mail you are surrounded by God's Love and Protection ! I took another wild rollercoaster ride with my treatment this week. Everything was going well until my body decided to also welcome the flu. Because the side effects of the treatment itself are so similar to those of the flu with only the addition of lots vomiting I was hoping that it was that but then came the muscle aches and I knew then I was in for it. It did pass on by but I had to go to the hospital to get a couple of IV's of saline since I became dyhadrated. I tried so hard to even get some chicken soup but that wasn't staying down but the good news is that the worst is behing me now. As you all know, the parade of nations is tomorrow at my church and I will be on it ! God knows how much it means to me to be able to participate so I'm counting on Him for strength ; I will let you know how it all turn out. I best get back in bed now; I just wanted to let you know about me and to send you all my love. For those who can please pray for strength tomorrow so I won't fall off the sanctuary. Guest guest
Dear Tony, How grieved I am that this current bout of medication didn't work for you, as I know we were all praying it would. On the other hand I am thrilled that your faith is strong, and growing stronger every day. These may be stormy times for you, but as Job said, "when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold." Your faith and your courage inspire me daily to seek a closer walk with God. I was just reading in the Psalms this morning, "my flesh and my heart faileth, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever." Isn't it great to know that as these earthly bodies fail us, that we always have a resource for strength and power! My prayer is that every sunrise will find you renewed by the power of the Almighty, and every sunset will find you filled with the peace and joy of his promises. You are in my prayers daily, and will remain so as you face the coming days of uncertainty. Allida
Guest guest
Dearest Tony, As the days go by and your trials and tribulations become so vast, please remember that you are continuously being held up to the "Father" in prayer. With all of us here praying for you, I'm sure that at any given time of the day or night, your name is on the lips of someone in prayer for your miracle. As I read the verse at the end of your note, I couldn't help but think it describes YOU perfectly. You are continuously showing you love for your fellow human beings, whether it be to those of us here, or at your church, or at the hospital where you have your treatments. Loving is truly the verb to describe your inner nature. When we come to the group and are feeling hurt by friends, family, or the doctors who are supposed to be helping us, you are one of the first to offer comfort, and understanding, when it would probably be more advisable for you to be resting and gaining energy for your own struggles. When we, as mere humans, have occasion to express doubts, you are always there, expressing your faith, and directing our paths with a verse or a message from the Bible, that helps to ease our doubts, and console our fears. When we post in the wee hours of the morning, filled with despair, you are always there with your hope shining through like a beacon in the night. Your hope lifts us to new heights, and renews us with hope of our own, and the determination to make it through another day. You are a lighthouse to each of us as we face the demons in our darkest hours of despair. You shine far and wide with your message of faith, hope, love, and a brighter future through a Heavenly Father, who is willing to grant our every need. As we face the trials, sadness and gloom of these horrendous liver diseases, you are always a ray of hope to us with your contagious joy and happiness, even in the face of your own perils. As I said before, you are our standard-bearer. We see Christ in you daily! As you face the uncertainty of each new tomorrow, we watch your faith grow stronger, and are encouraged by your spirit to seek that same level in our Christian walk. May God richly bless each and every day of your life, and forever keep you in his loving care. Allida

Guest guest
Dear Tony: My love and prayers go out to you. Your faith in the Lord is an inspiration to us all. You have already taught us many things. God bless you in the coming days and hours. You know you are not alone. Thank you for hanging in with us, in spite of your own trials and tribualtions. Love, Marty [ ] Hello ! Hi ! I hope that when you receive this e-mail you are surrounded by God's Love and Protection ! Thank you so much for all your responses to my post. One of the things that I've learned with my walk with God is that sometimes when a storm or storms approches instead of moving we must be still and wait to hear from the Lord. I spend a lot of time this weekend reading to find answers, strength, wisdom and peace through this time and I ran into this two scriptures that brought to my heart everything that I was seeking. For those of you who got to know me hear at the group know that overall I'm a very strong person. I've been able with God's Grace in my life to handle all the challenges that have come to me but even the strong have moments of weakness and when I hear my mom suffer that is when I become weak since my love for her is one of my greatest feelings and when I hear her tears over the phone they feel like knives entering my heart and it was precisely those tears that brought my current situation to a new level this past friday. It was so hard for me to hold my own tears back but I knew that I had to which I did until I got off the phone with her. I needed to be a vessel of confidence and faith as she faced a difficult hour which I did but then it was time for me to strengthen my heart and that is when I wrote to you and started seeking God's message. " Now, O Israel, the Lord who created you says:"Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulties, you will not drown ! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you " " Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy. They weep as they go to plant their seed, but they sing as they return with the harvest " I know that I'm not alone in all this suffering; a lot of you also face difficult situations and in the morning with I go to church I will pray for all of you that God will grant you a great season of harvest ! Joanne, I received and saved all your messages on my voice mail and this weekend as I kept listening to them they brought me much love which I really needed; thank you so much and I as well will always have you in my heart. The cd is lovely and I did received and loved you cd as well. 1 timothy 4:4 says "everything God created is good" I have no doubt the He had His Hand on the creation of this group. This is not only a great source of information / advise with with members like Jerry, Harper and many others that have so much knowledge about not only our liver illness but many more as well and when they don't know they will research for you to ease your burden and that is so precious. We also have so many that bring their whole heart to the group to help you walk through times of trouble and when you combine those two together you have one powerful weapon to help you find victory with every battle that you may face. If this group could have another name it would have to be "ARMY UNDER GRACE" since so many of you have stand tall to fight and endure life's challenges. I will forever be grateful and if I could accomplish anything here in our group; I hope to plant a seed of faith in your heart. A perfect storm has taken stage on my horizon but rest assured of one thing ... TONY WILL NEVER SURRENDER ! Love Always, Tony
