The Delhi Chief Minister, Sheila Dikshit, today announced the current financial year as " AIDS Prevention Year " . The Chief Minister was addressing a meeting in honour of a delegation headed by the executive director of UNAIDS Piot at Delhi Secretariat. Health Minister A.K. Walia, Finance Minister Raj Kumar Chauhan, Leader of the Opposition in Delhi Vidhan Sabha Prof. Jagdish Mukhi and social worker Nafisa Ali were also present on the occasion. Ms. Diskhit while expressing concern over the increase in the number of AIDS cases in Delhi added that an awareness campaign would be launched during the year through print, electronic and traditional media.
