As of 0845 this morning (11 Apr 00), everyone can now not only add me to the list of reactions, but also to the official list of refusers. Today, the military attempted to force anthrax shot #5 on me despite my pending medical review board. I did make all the necessary phone calls, and I feel confident I have support no matter what happens. My brother is still also a refuser and is doing fine; no one is bothering him about his decision. This should tell everyone that each individual's CO does have discression on what goes on with the anthrax vaccination program.

This battle is not over yet folks. As a matter of fact, a message was put out on 4 Apr 00 (Unclassified) stipulating new anthrax rules. Basically, it says that unless you have a doctor's deferrment or have less than 180 days of active service, then you do not have to take it.

That's it for now. Let's keep everyone abreast of what's going on and keep the effort going.
