Guest guest
Hi and thanks to you both for your messages. it sounds like it definitely worked for and Kirsten. Bipin doesn't seem to be affected by lack of vision at all at the moment and he's extremely mobile! And the opthometrist said his sight is fine so far. But his Dad's vision is bad, especially in the eye that had the lower lid so it seems clear that he needs the temporary thing done to make sure that his vision develops normally. We're still not at all sure whether or not he should have the permanent ops done when he's 5, but we've got a few years to decide on that. I wonder what the difference is between the procedure that Dr Collin does with tissue from the leg at 4 or 5 (my husband had the same thing done by Dr Collin 25 years ago!), and the YV canthoplasty that they seem to do at an earlier age in the States? sorry we can't make it on Sunday. hope to meet you at the next one.
