Guest guest
HI everyone There is some confusion about the Database section in the Group. I thought it would be useful to illustrate it, along with some brief explanations. In the Yellow panel on the left there is a section called "Database". If you click on it, you will see a choice of 2 databases. One of them is called "BPES List". After you have clicked on "BPES List", you will information, such as what appears below. There are 10 columns in this table. In the screen shot below you can see the first 6 columns. If you click on "Country", they will all be sorted in Country order. So here are some questions I have been asked recently. Please add my name to the list --------------------------------------------- I am sorry but I would prefer it if you added your name, and answered the 10 questions. If you later change your mind about the answers, or you want to revise and update the information, you can do that. You do not have to answer all of the questions. I have a "Profile" - why isn't that the same? ------------------------------------------------------------ The "Profile" you have is a thing - available for any member (there must be millions of them) to see. The database we have created (and illustrated above) is just for people who are a member of our group. It has very specific questions in it. Only people who are members of our group can see it. How do I find people who live near me? ------------------------------------------------------ Click on Country (it is circled in red, in the small illustration above). This will sort people into country order. You can then look at all the people who live in your country. Can I sort by State? ----------------------------- Yes, but all of the states, regardless of which country they are in, will be in alphabetical order How many people are in the database now? ------------------------------------------------------------------- 89 entries. Each row represents a person. Against a person there are notes about parents, children and siblings who have BPES, but are not necessarily members of this group. I hope that this makes it easier for people. Please don't hesitate to ask me more questions. Shireen
