Guest guest
Dear AIDS India E-Forum Members: I thank the moderator for his recent forwarding of the vaccine article from Kaiser Network. Gallo always seems to say the right things (with a little hot air thrown in), but a word of caution here, so people with HIV/AIDS, their caregivers and those who are wrking in the field, are not swayed away with such information: 'so far no-one has been able to stimulate a broad neutralising antibody response'. If Gallo can do it in 18 months - good on him! and let's hope so But we will see..until such a time that we have a vaccine, for all clydes (also called as sub-types) we have to read such news with 'cautious' optimism... Also I agree with Gallo that the current candidates won't be the answer, but they are a start.
