The first that American Media employees heard about the anthrax

infection

was on TV on Thurs. afternoon Oct. 4, even though the doctors and

officials

had known for 48 hours s was dying of anthrax.

CDC focused its investigation on 's home, didn't show up until

Friday

at the office and without protective suits. Incredibly, officials

allowed

employees to continue to work in the building all weekend.

Monday morning, they were barred from the building and told to report to

the

Health Dept. for tests and antibiotics. They found pandemonium and some

officials took the day off.

Even though cipro must be given for 60 days, employees were told they

only

had enough for two weeks and they were on their own. Nor where they told

how

to deal with their children. Employees have yet to be addressed by any

responsible official.
