Ocular manifestions in AIDS in India

Thanks very much for making me part of e-group, I am particulary

involved in treating the patients with eye infection and 3 of my students have

written thesis on Ocular manifestions in AIDS 250 cases and later on 800

patients and third thesis is on Ophthalmic manifestation in chlidren with AIDS,

the first of its kind report in India or in the world screening 50 children

affected by AIDS.

I have retired from J.J group of hospitals in Bombay. At presnt I am treating

every weeks new cases and the effective cost for ocular CMVR has been reduced

considerably. I have presented our work at number of conferences, and we are

treating HIV patients from 1992 at G.T.General Hospital, Bombay.

In my next letter I will write about low cost treatment for CMVRetinitis.
