Guest guest
Hi, There are plenty of poisonous things in fabric softeners - http://users.lanminds.com/~wilworks/ehnfs.htm - but I haven't found mercury listed yet. elevatordance wrote: > what type of fabric softener? where did you see this? Guest guest
most batteries (they specifically say if Hg-free), irons for clothing (the thermostat in it), thermometers, tap water, older paint, silkscreen ink (also lead, cadmium, etc in that), some ceramics produced on small scale or imported, the tennis shoes which light up when walking, etc. The list goes on. At first glance one might think, " my child doesn't have direct contact with these items or ingest them " . Somebody somewhere produces them and the items go somewhere when no longer usable. Folks who handle the items in production or disposal have increased risk of exposure which they take home to their kids. It all affect the environment in various ways. I have a list of items containing mercury, I'll try to find it. On Mon, 24 Jul 2000 17:48:14 -0400, egroups wrote: > Hi all, I am still looking for a list of things that have mercury in them.
