Dear All, First of all taking this opportunity to thank brother Chifu for the promise he gave on my fees may GOD Bless you . Well its not that I'm quite , but I think brother Chifu knows what I'm after now and what I'm doing . Their is an Orphanage Home called Lady of Mercy Orphanage Home which is situated in Mikindani area in Mombasa . This home has about 50 childrens Boys/Girls and are going to schools from the age of ! year to 17 years . We are now planning to get them Uniforms which just imagine how much will cost for all of them , but always when you depend on him things goes well . In fact , this Sunday 27th April 2008 we have arrange a Medical Camp with some Ladies , Members of Mjadala Forum and associate with Bomu Medical Center, and

Radio Rahma . We have a plan if all goes well for a fund raising and also now we are looking for the funds to re-build the building as to seperate the boys and girls . There was a problem of Water as the borehole was not drilled properly but now the fundi's are there to dig more and we hope soon the Water problem will finish. Since the area is a bit far from the town its been a tough schedule for me to deal with other things at one time . Thats why I have been not active so much in this beloved forum . But I'm there with you at any time if requested or assistance is needed . Secondly I have manage to get this Home to open their own account in the Bank , so will appreciate any one of you wants to donate can do directly do so to the Bank A/C and its Lady of Mercy Orphanage Welfare , Dubai Bank of Kenya Limited A/C No: 81083169

Nkrumah Road , Mombasa, Kenya . The Home is register with the Government and have their own Officials a Lady by the name of Mrs Fatma Ahmed Abeid as the director . So we need alot for this Orphanage to do special for the renovation of the building as soon as possible . I hope members of this forum will do something waswahili wasema kidogo kidogo hujaza kibaba . [ Means a penny and a penny fills a pot ] I can say . I think my brother Chifu can help me on the translation of swahili au vipi Al Akh Chifu???. So any time my dear brothers and sisters when you need my assistance will be my pleasure to help. GOD BLESS you all Best Wishs Hussein Abbas Mob: +254-720612905 , +254-735036612 Mombasa, Kenya Janet

I have seen

this said in other forums too, when the issue of what to do about frustration and anger among young people is discussed. It isn't anything "fancy" they need: they need seeds, they need skills-building and job opportunities, they need a basic education.ICTs training and access are also a perceived and real need: thus the donation of computers given by to Hezekiah is a gift not only to young people, but for peace.Tom, you mention a training you are organizing for the young people who have used the seeds you gave them for planting. How much do you estimate you need for that? This would be an investment in their future, and the future of Kenya.Tom, on insecticides, is it possible to do something "organic", ie environmentally-friendly? That might be better for both people and the environment than chemicals, though their effectiveness needs to be considered (ie re plant disease and the

And Chifu, hope you can meet with "both" Toms and Hez when you're in Kenya. Thanks again, Tom, and hope we can be of help to you (I see you're asking also abt the Candlelight Memorial, and hope some will come forward with that too).
