Action Africa Volunteers is a volunteer organization that was founded and registered in Kenya in 2001. The organization has four main volunteer

programmes as follows: · International Volunteer Placements to local organizations; · Graduate volunteer work camps, specifically in IDP camps

and community villages; · Adopt-a- Graduate volunteer placement in local and East African organizations; · Graduate volunteer programmes in constituencies to support Constituency Development Committees and Members of Parliament in their development plans. The main objectives of the local Volunteer programme are: 1. To promote inter-community development through Volunteerism and community work. 2. To help young graduates gain work experience to enable them access the job market through volunteer ism. We have placed over 100 graduates in organizations with most of them being absorbed in the

organizations when vacancies have arisen. Presently, we have volunteer vacancies in the over 20 Health and Development NGOs all over the country. We also organize work camps in different communities. Most of the host organizations where Volunteers are placed are willing to pay some allowance to the volunteer while others are willing to cater for food and accommodation especially in the rural areas.
