Dear Janet

Thank you for the response. This morning we woke up and several parts of the town are battling with security with Gunshots in sarounding estates of kisumu.

Our main problem as at now is food, medication and shelter for children whose houses have been destroyed.Food specifically for children on ARVsand PLWHAs is wanting. On behalf of St.Rita and other community members I wish to appeal for support in view of the above.

I also want to mention that I would try and get the Bishops contant through our parish priest father kraacman and pass information to you.

Thank you for your support and God bless you.

Kind regards

Bernadette

Dear Bernadette and All,

Wonderful and relieving to hear from you, and that all is fine with you and yours. I am devastated to hear that children in Kisumu have been shot and killed, though...this is madness! We will indeed be trying to get support to people and orgs in Kisumu, where there has been so much destruction, and if we can be of help to you, do let us know.

I'm wondering if you or anyone reading this knows how to contact the Catholic Diocese, especially the Bishop, who has apparently been so helpful as a peacemaker? A group I am working with would like to be in contact with him, and to offer support.

I and we will be with you in spirit, praying for your safety, and sending love and greatest blessings your way! Please stay in touch, and remember that you are dear to us! Janet

Members in Kenya: Plz Let Us Know That You Are OK!

Hello Dear All,Everyone watching the unfolding events in Kenya is stunned by the violence and killing now taking place. Let us fervently hope and pray for an immediate end to this tragedy, and a swift movement towards a more peaceful approach to an admittedly controversial election.I'm sure we are all very concerned about our members and friends in Kenya, and I would like to ask folks there to post to us when they can to tell us they are OK, or what situation they are in, and what we can do to help.I am thinking of too many of you now to name you all...I'm sure each of us knows many friends, colleagues, family, and loved ones who we bring to mind when reading this.We are surely with you in spirit, and know that we are sending love and our greatest concern and caring your way! Janet
