Dear Partner, Action

Africa Volunteers is a volunteer organization that was founded and registered

in Kenya in 2001. The

main objectives of the local Action Africa Volunteer programme are: 1. To

promote inter-community and national and international cohesion

through Volunteerism and

Community work

2. To design

programs that target young graduate and interns such as work camps to support the community work through

teaching in community schools, HIV/AIDS prevention campaigns, conflict management

and peace-building programs, construction work, counseling and life skills training 3. To help young graduates gain work experience

to enable them access the job market through volunteer ism. We have

placed over 100 volunteers in organizations with most of them being absorbed in

the organizations when vacancies have arisen. Most organizations give

allowances to volunteers. Presently, we have volunteer vacancies in the over 40

Health and Development NGOs in Kenya as well as in Uganda, Tanzania and Southern

Sudan in: · ICT Sector · Peace Building · Community Development/ Social

Work · Early

Childhood Development · Counseling and HIV/AIDS

Management · Nursing and Public Health We are in

the process of organizing summer programme for 2009. Book Early!! We look
