Indeed this is shocking........it begs the question what other vises are going on that we dont know about!

Knowing how the Administration system works here, one can only wonder what the local Chief, among others, are doing whilst this is going on.

Where live sex makes for public entertainmentUpdated 3 hr(s) 34 min(s) ago BY Edith FortunateThe darkness fooled me that since it was night, all the residents wanted was to hit the sack. It is not until I get to Mashimoni, a sub location in Kibera, Nairobi, that I get a true taste of what darkness means here.I am forced to disguise myself as any hint that I am not a resident would put me at great risk. My guide lets me in on the expectations here as some of the residents have already noticed there is a stranger in their midst. The 19-year-old says: "Hapa utakula mogoka, halafu nitakuwekea soda ndani ya chupa ya dasani na ujifanye uko maji (You have to chew miraa, I will put some soda in a water bottle and you will pretend to be drunk). As we get closer to the venue, many people are curiously looking at us but the guide, who prefers to be called Josh, assures me of my

safety. We get to the hall where the `action' is a few minutes after 1am and nightlife has just began. There is a heavily built young man of about 19 manning the gate. Outside I notice young boys positioned in different places in the shacks, and Josh tells me they look out for those who try to stop the business of the night, and at the end of it all, if business is good, they take home one hundred shillings.Live pornography is all the rave here and those who participate in it say it is their only means of survival. As for HIV/Aids, "they have nothing to lose, theirs is just a life with no beginning but an ending".The warming session is done and just like in schools, there are all those practical classes and the stark shame of poverty brings itself out. Disco lights on and raga music hits the air, a young girl, who would pass for 16, jumps from the crowd

gyrating her waist before jumping on top of a metal bed.A much older man comes from the opposite direction; he undresses, throwing his trouser on top of the bed and lies on his back as the girl, whom I am told is turning 15, beckons him seductively. From her poise, you can tell the girl has been in the profession for long. The man then rises and anxiously searches for something in his trousers—a Sh50 note. Not amused, the girl retracts and puts on her red t-shirt. The audience, which is getting worked up, starts shouting: "Mzee ulikuja job na hauna pesa, tunataka action na tumelipa (Old man you came to work without money, we want action and we have paid) only for another man, also in a red t-shirt, to give him Sh100, then the girl removes her t-shirt and gets down to business. As Josh tells me, "Sasa ni time ya mchaka mchaka (Now is time for the real action)".No

condomsThe hall is packed and everyone revels at the two. The girl tries out skills you will only find in pornographic movies. When no condoms are used the girls make extra money. More money to the point they can pay rent for three months in advance, which is about Sh1,200.I follow the girl, who has worked herself up for 45 minutes non-stop, outside. Striking a conversation is almost impossible, at some point she almost raised alarm claiming I am being too snoopy.Unatoka wapi? Hataukai kama mdhi wa Kibich. Nitaita maboys wakukatisie (Where do you come from? You do not even look like a Kibera resident, I will call my gang to deal with you)" she says. But I manage to calm her down, pushing a Sh200 note in her hand. She smiles and asks: "Unatoka wapi? (Where are you from?).boosting financesAisha, her stage name, then asks me whether I need training to boost my finances and I

respond in the affirmative, to which she tells me: "I never came here because I wanted, my parents died when I was young and I was left in the care of a neighbour." Aisha says through the trade she has managed to pay her rent and cater for her siblings. The porn stars, she says, never give birth, they abort and there is a particular `cemetery' in the slums, where they bury the foetuses."I do not mind people seeing me naked, most of them might have seen me naked when I was born so why the fuss? It is just that they are seeing me in an different act, which I also do not mind. I can do it in broad daylight if it will put food on my table," she adds. And continues to say: "God gives accordingly, he gives some brains, while some are given beauty, I was given the body and I managed to get the expertise, it is about balancing what you have got."FrustrationsThere were

frustrations, she acknowledges, when she joined. New girls bring competition and they are rarely accepted. She walks away with a promise: "Just come tomorrow and I will leave with you, my session is always over by 2am and I let others continue till 5am, I only stay for long when some girls are on their periods that way I earn as much as Sh1,200 a night."Poverty has pushed children to make a living using their bodies. To them, life has to go on. As one philosophically puts it: "We have nothing to lose after all, you might be living for tomorrow only to die today." The most shocking detail is that police never interrupted our `entertainment' .http://www.eastanda rd.net/specialre ports/InsidePage .php?id=1143993715 & cid=259 &

Am sure, every member will understand why i despise the politicians who have been in power for 44 years, most of this politicians know that these places exsist and they are frequent customers,it's a big shame,if you ask Aisha she will name for you those old men who we look at as our leaders, as her regular customers. The most important thing is for us to take as individual to help eradicate poverty which has led to immoral behaviour and insecurity, while young girls sell their bodies, the young men are killing for money. Our country is a time bomb waiting to explode i wish somebody will listen.
