Guest guest
Dear Tom and All, So good to hear from you, but very, very sorry about your losses. What kind of books and machines were stolen or burned? We are trying to raise funds for members (KCA) in addition to sending to the Kenya Red Cross and other humanitarian orgs. Your letter is a good reminder that not all who have endured losses are " displaced " , except in the sense that your livelihood and perhaps your former life itself feel totally displaced or dislocated because of the losses you have sustained. Hopefully people will step up and help you and our other members and friends in Kisumu, so hard hit by the violence, and with recovery estimated to be years down the road. Please contact Tom Obiero directly (tomokeyo@...), or pledge a contribution to the KCA emergency fund. Or post to the other forums (where you see this letter) for ways of contributing, and let him know you care. Know that we are with you and all there in spirit, Tom, and that we are sending you our most caring wishes and love, Janet Back in Town Today > >I have been back to town again.
