I absolutely agree with the NGOs who have made efforts to stop the Balbir

Pasha campaign. I am sorry that such steps had to be taken against a sibling NGO

who has been working on prevention of HIV/AIDS. I also agree with Sandhya Bhalla

that we need to be clear about the communication messages and very careful when

we are launching such a major campaign.

I am sure that PSI must have done some reviews and consulted some experts before

going ahead with this campaign. But what happened? Why has it been so sexist and

providing such confusing messages? The communication strategy could have been

better applied with ethical, scientific, non-sexist and non-stigmatising

messages. What a wasted opportunity!!!
