Guest guest
Dear Forum, I too agree with Langkham...I have not seen the ad of PSI so I cannot comment on the Ad, yet it is such a pity that we enagage infighting, while we working against a common threat and common goals. I have known PSI staff in Mumbai, and some in Washington, and I have lot of respects for their work. I believe that we all must agree and celebrate the diversity. We must agree to disagree and while we disagree we must agree with respect, compassion, empathy and grace. Lets not fall into the tempting prey of 'DIVIDE AND CONQUER' which is totally conterproductive to our AIDS Movement. Let working as the words of Weldon , " LET US MARCH ON UNTIL VICTORY IS WON " . Let's not engage in the words of Woddy Guthrie's " WHICH SIDE ARE YOU ON? " And let's not forget the famous words during French Revolution while working on AIDS Issues: 'IF NOT NOW WHEN, IF NOT WE WHO? " skrishna@... ___________________________________________________ [Message 2] Dear Forum, I have watched with utter dismay how one of the rare anti-AIDS campaign in India is being attacked by politicians and politics of local rivalry. As Langkham wrote, it is painful to see that a cause is lost if people can not learn to respect each others' work or even tolerate shortcomings of a innovative campaign. May I suggest that anyone on this forum " prescribe " a campaign that is foolhardy, post it on the forum for readers to comment, and see if we get total agreement.
