Friday, I got a call from Danny's aide that started something like,

" The principal said that when it's something this serious, the parents'

should be notified immediately. " She went on to describe that Danny had

been acting silly and had fallen off his chair and hit his head, then

said something about watching a film....

Meanwhile, my head was full of questions: " Did he loose

consciousness? " " Do I need to leave immediately to take him to the

doctor? " I missed some of the details.

Well, he was able to stay in school until the end of the day, then

came home with the beginnings of a nice " shiner. "

It wasn't until I looked in his communications book that it all became

clear. The film the class was watching at the time of his fall was

" Safety in the Classroom " !
