Guest guest
Dear colleagues, As an NGO that began HIV/AIDS prevention education in Bangalore's schools in 1990, we at INSA-India have gained rich experiences. Today, these experiences have shaped education in HIV/AIDS using the developmental approach . Further we have facilitated community based organisations in India and Nepal to learn from our experiences and set up projects. In all these community based projects as well as in Bangalore, participation of teachers is one facet. Friendly Advisor teachers have formed a forum in Bangalore. Sustained follow up and regular interactions with the same students in schools over a period of 3 years has helped with getting the teachers to participate in HIV/AIDS prevention. In December the partners from these community based projects and the coordinators of the regional Friendly Advisors Forum are meeting in Bangalore to form a National Forum. We would be interested in feedback educational materials to help enrich this workshop. Our budgets do not stretch to be able to give each friendly advisor a comprehensive pack when they leave. With best wishes EDWINA PEREIRA PROGRAM DIRECTOR -TRAINING INSA-INDIA 5/1, BENSON CROSS ROAD, BENSON TOWN, BANGALORE-560046 INDIA E'mail <insaind@...> _________________________________
