Lost in Wal-Mart & daydreaming

I dropped Tim off at Dulles airport this morning (he just emailed me at

35,000 feet!) and then went to the newest Wal-mart on the way home.

did pretty well behaviorally and I was very proud of him. I was going to

check out and stopped to look at one last item. I turned around and he was

gone! I looked and looked and no . I got the employees, only they

didn't speak English well. Usually, Walmart uses a Code Adam (which I told

them they had to do!) immediately. I saw someone I knew and asked for her

help...my new boss! LOL. She found him really close to where I saw him

last. He saw mirrors, sat down and looked at himself (another behavior that

can be chalked up to therapy...ST). What an impression she got of me

today...hehe! On they way out, a teenage boy came up to me, introduced

himself and told me his job was to help people get their bags into their

cars and then return their carts. He told me he may be promoted to cart

supervisor, that he will be graduating in 2002 and he plans on working at

Wal-mart until he retires. He told me sometimes Wal-Mart pisses him off

(his exact words), but he has been working there for 2 years now. His cell

phone rang, it was his mother telling him that it's time for him to leave

work. Yes, he was MR and after that fiasco with , it was nice to

have this young man help me out.

My dream house is in the mountains by a lake...and it's fall. Sue, I just

finished a home study on a family that has a 7,000+ square foot house (does

not include the detached garage and carriage house). I'll take small and

cozy anyday. The family is looking at smaller homes already. My best

friend from college just put an offer on a 8,750 square foot home...and she

has no children (only a cat named Matt...we named after her cat but

Tim will never admit that one! and her two dogs) Her new house is on a lake

in the mountains...hummmmmm...I'll have to visit her soon! LOL. This is

the same friend that offered to pay off our mortgage when was

diagnosed with DS...we declined, but we will never forget her kindness...she

is one of those cherished friends that people are lucky to have in their

lifetime.
