Guest guest
The two major treatments for CMV retinitis are ganciclovir (DHPG) and foscarnet. Are these accessible in India? How many will go blind if they are not? When will the Vajpayee government seek to assure the right to access to medications instead of death and destruction in J & K? Still--perhaps the neW president, tho titular only, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, can be persuaded to encourage and promote such changes! Perhaps if Vajpayee and Musharraf would focus on joining together in the war against AIDS, it would make negotiating a settlement in J & K seem more do-able. HIV is a bigger threat to both countries.
