Guest guest
The Affordable Health Care Act has brought many changes to both the insurance industry and to health care providers. A lot of these changes have not yet taken effect. Last year, in anticipation of the changes in health care, many insurers raised their premiums to cover expected increased costs. Last year insurers were required to cover children to age 26 regardless of their health conditions. Before that dependent health coverage ended at age 18, or 21 if they were full time students at a college or trade school. Last year I saw the premium for my private health coverage increase by 1/3. This year, even with the new higher premium, the annual deductible tripled. I know changes like this have happened to many people. I am not alone. It is getting to where health insurance is a liability and is no longer insurance. More information about a new web site to inform people of changes due to the Affordable Health Care Act is at the link below. http://www.projectinform.org/news/hivhealthreform-org-website/
