Guest guest
Workshop on HIV/AIDS Related Stigma and Discrimination HIV/AIDS Related Stigma and Discrimination: Advancing a Regional Response A Half Day Workshop to be Held in Bangkok 22 August 2002 It is increasingly clear that stigmatising and discriminating against people with HIV/AIDS is not only damaging to the health of people living with HIV/AIDS, it also increases the risks and burdens for the whole of society. In the largest study of HIV/AIDS related discrimination in the region, we are investigating structural levels of discrimination. The study is progressing well, but the challenge is to put regional systems and networks in place to take advantage of the study's results and to build on them to develop a regional response to HIV/AIDS related stigma and discrimination. The purpose of this workshop is to initiate a dialogue around the broader development of a regional response. Objectives of Workshop: 1. Present and receive feedback on the current project; 2.
